全书证据附录
本附录说明全书的取证规则,并按材料类型编目本书精读的全部 250 件一手材料(合计 2,497,539 字符,约 249.7 万,1984—2023)。全书正文约 18.1 万字,每一处直接引语都先在英文原文中检出原句,再给中文译文。
一、先说一个结构性事实:没有股东信
**索罗斯没有股东信。量子基金(Quantum Fund)从未公开过任何形式的投资人通信。**这不是本文库采集不力,是这批材料的结构本身如此——量子是一只私募离岸基金,从不存在公开的投资人信件序列。采集清单把这一条单独登记为「结构性缺口」,并注明:他实时的投资记录写在《金融炼金术》(The Alchemy of Finance)那本受版权保护的实时实验日记里,没有可获取的公开一手替代品。
这一条决定了本书的形态。本文库其余各卷都有一条连续的、写给出资人的自陈序列作主证据(巴菲特的股东信、马克斯的备忘录、史密斯的年度信),索罗斯这一卷没有。取而代之的 250 件材料,主体是哲学、政治与政策论述:报刊专栏 165 篇、长文 39 篇、演讲 30 篇、访谈 8 篇、讲座 5 讲、国会证词 3 份。按本书对语料的通读估计,涉及政治、外交与公共政策的篇幅约占七成——**这是编辑判断,基于全量通读的篇幅估计,不是精确统计。**他谈自己怎么下单的地方,加起来只有几十处,且极不均匀地集中在五个位置:一九九三年那篇讲欧洲解体的长文、二〇〇八年六月与十一月的两场国会证词、中欧大学系列讲座第二讲、二〇一三年前后的几次访谈、二〇一四年那篇论文的末尾。本书凡用到这些材料,都同时说明它们有多稀缺。
还有一层随之而来的性质差异。写给出资人的信有一个固定读者,会拿旧信对账,因此天然承担交代义务;索罗斯的文本大部分写给公众、政策圈与学术界,目的是说服,不是汇报。本书对所有「他后来说他当时怎么想」的材料,一律按回溯性自述处理,并标出叙述时点与事件时点的距离。
二、证据分级
全书只使用本文库收录、可逐句核验的原始文本,按五级取用,每章末尾的「本章依据」逐条标明等级。

索引等级与正文取用等级的关系。 语料索引按「发布主体」打分,250 件材料中 A1 242 件、A2 8 件;那 8 件 A2 恰好就是全部 8 篇访谈——它们由他本人官网转载,发布主体是本人机构,但文本本身是媒体记者编辑过的问答。因此正文按「取用方式」再降一级:全部媒体访谈在各章「本章依据」中一律标为 B1,引用前与同期正式文本交叉核对。本附录的编目沿用索引的原始等级,两套口径的对应关系即此段。
本书没有使用任何 B2 或 C1 材料承担论点。凡流传甚广、却只能追到第三方转述的「索罗斯原话」,本书宁可不用。第三方为他写的传记与人物特写全部登记为「参考、不入语料」。
三、政治中立纪律(本书特有)
他的公开文本约七成涉及政治与政策。这给一本方法书带来一个真实的风险:把「他的判断如何形成、如何被检验」写成「他的立场对不对」。这两个问题混在一起,前一个就没法回答了。因此本书立下四条纪律。
其一,只记录不评价。 按事实记录他的主张、他给出的理由,以及可核验的结果。本书不作政治评价,不选边,不替他辩护,也不批判他的立场。
其二,敏感区域尤其克制。 涉及中国、俄罗斯与乌克兰、欧盟内部争议、美国党争的段落,只写可核验的判断与可核验的结果,不作制度之间的比较。
其三,公共活动只在两种情况下写。 一是这些活动为理解他的判断方法提供了证据,二是这些活动反过来约束或影响了他的市场行为(例如一九九三年他因公共身份主动放弃做空法国法郎)。除此之外一律不展开。
其四,纪律本身有代价,并已记在账上。 守住中立意味着放弃对他大量政治论断的实质评估,这是一次主动取舍。全书最后一章明确记下了这次取舍及其代价,不假装它没有发生。
四、术语的时序纪律
这是本书在写作中最容易出错、也查得最严的一条。他的核心术语不是一次成型的,用后来的术语去描述更早的行为,会凭空制造出一种他当时并不具备的自觉。
其一,「反身性」(reflexivity)一词到一九八七年才定型,「认知函数/操纵函数」这对命名到一九九五年才首次出现。 因此写一九八七年以前的事时,本书不得说他「运用了反身性」;凡需要用后来的框架回溯解释更早的行为,一律作为编辑判断明示,并写明这是回溯而非当时的自觉。
其二,那对函数在语料中有五个英文版本。 从一九九五年的 participating,到二〇一〇年四月的 causal、同年六月的 active/manipulative,再到二〇一一年四月的 participating, or manipulative,直到二〇一四年定于 manipulative。全书统一译作**「操纵函数」**;但凡引用早期文本,正文必须标明他当时用的是哪一个词,不把晚期定名倒填进早期语境。
其三,他自己做过的结构修订要按修订处理。 例如二〇一四年那篇论文把反身性从不确定性的「主源」降为「来源之一」;这是他本人对自己框架的调整,本书按调整记录,不用后一版覆盖前一版。
五、中欧大学五讲的补采经过
二〇〇九年十月,他在布达佩斯的中欧大学(CEU)连讲五场。这是他一生最系统的一次公开陈述,也是本书第二、三部与第十九章的主干材料。但这五讲的全文并不在一个地方,补采过程本身值得记录——因为它决定了本书能不能成立。
他本人官网上以「The Soros Lectures at the Central European University」为题的那一页,不是讲稿,是该系列结集成书后的出版社宣传页。若按标题直接采信,会把一段出版社文案当成他的讲稿引用。本文库把这一页登记为「非一手文本」并排除在语料之外。五讲的实际全文最终从三个来源补齐:
- 第一讲、第三讲:本人官网 wp-content 目录下的官方 PDF(二〇一七年重新上传)。
- 第二讲:旧版官网曾免费提供的图书章节 PDF。其 CDN 副本(soros.3cdn.net)已失效,经 Wayback Machine 存档恢复。这一讲最要紧——全部二百五十件语料中唯一一处他在交易执行层面复盘自己的段落就在这里(大方向看对、未为波动率留余量、仓位过大、数次在错误时点被迫减仓)。补不到这一讲,本书第十九章与第三部都缺一块。

六、语料自身的缺陷与勘误
这批文本不是干净的。本书在消化阶段建立了勘误表,逐条在正文中执行;已知问题包括:
- 体裁标注不可信。 数篇被标为「长文」的材料,实际是访谈记录或第三方记者撰写的人物特写,不是他本人的文字;另有数页是出版社的书籍宣传文案。这些一律不作他本人的文本使用。
- 正文重复与重复收录。 两篇长文的正文在文件里各自完整重复了两遍;一篇演讲与一篇长文实为同一文本被分别收录(洪堡演讲与《危机与欧元》)。
- 正文自身的事实错误。 他在一处把苏联部长会议主席的名字写错(写作 Vladimir Ryzhkov,应为 Nikolai);在一次问答里说尼克松「被弹劾」(实为众议院司法委员会通过弹劾条款后、全院表决前辞职);另有两处 million/billion 的单位换算错误。凡引用到这些地方,本书按勘误处理并加编者注,不照抄。
- PDF 转文本的断字。 讲座 PDF 存在跨行断字,涉及的引语已逐条回原文容错核实。
全书定稿后另做过一轮机械审计(book/george-soros/qa-mechanical-20260724.md):抽检的一百零五条英文引语全部在原文命中;八十一个被引语料文件名与其声明日期完全吻合;五百零二处跨章引用全部可解析。
七、版权边界
《金融炼金术》(1987)、《开放苏联体系》(1990)、《支持民主》(1991)、《索罗斯论索罗斯》(1995)、《全球资本主义危机》(1998)、《美国霸权的泡沫》(2004)等受版权保护的著作,本书只作书目定位与年代坐标,不转引其文本。凡涉及这些书的内容,一律通过他在演讲、论文与证词中的复述来处理——这些复述本身在语料中,可核。
八、材料编目(按类型,共 250 件)
题名保留英文原题,便于回查原文;括号内为原发表刊物或来源说明。日期取自材料标识;讲座与证词的日期与中文题名按正文统一称法给出。
